About Placement Test
The Placement Test at the Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus is designed to help students determine their current level of German language proficiency before enrolling in a course. This ensures that every participant joins a class best suited to their skills, making the learning experience more effective and goal-oriented.
Purpose of the Test
The placement test helps us evaluate your reading, writing, and listening comprehension skills in German. Based on your results, you will be placed in the appropriate level (A1, A2, or B1). This ensures that you neither repeat content you already know nor face difficulties with material that is too advanced.
Eligibility
The placement test is mandatory for all external students who wish to join a language course above A1 level.
Students who have already completed their previous level at Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus are not required to take the placement test.
Participants who have taken a placement test within the last 90 days are not eligible to retake it.
