Student Guidelines & Policies
On Campus Classes
1. Attendance for Certificate Eligibility
Students must maintain at least 80% attendance to qualify for the internal class participation certificate. Any student whose attendance falls below this threshold will not be eligible to receive the certificate.
2. Assessment Policy
For ASH internal students, promotion to the next level is based on internal assessments with the following weightage:
First Test – 25%
Second Test – 25%
Final Test – 50%
During the course, the above three assessments are conducted to evaluate learners’ progress. To successfully complete the course and be eligible for admission to the next level, participants must achieve a minimum overall score of 60% at the end of the course.
For B1 and B2 levels, students must pass any three modules in the final test in order to be eligible for admission to the next level.
Please note: No make-up tests will be conducted for internal students.
3. Participation certificate
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive an official digital certificate (PDF) via email. The certificate will be issued on the basis of the participant’s successful course completion which reflects their active class participation as well as the completion of assigned homework.
3. Punctuality,
Students must arrive and leave strictly on time. Due to space limitations, students are not allowed to remain on the premises outside of their scheduled class timings.
4. Cell Phone Policy
Mobile phones must be switched off during class hours to avoid any disruptions to the learning environment.
5. Respect
All students must treat their instructors and fellow classmates with the utmost respect. Harassment, disruptive and disrespectful conduct will not be tolerated and the student will be expelled
6. Food Policy
Bringing outside food items is strictly prohibited within the institute premises.
7. Gatherings and Functions
Gatherings, parties & functions within the institute’s premises are not allowed without prior permission of the language department.
8. Sustainability
As part of our eco-friendly initiative, students are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles, which can be refilled at the water fountain provided on campus.
9. Safety and Security (On-Campus)
- Weapons are strictly prohibited on the premises.
- ASH is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
- A security check is mandatory for all visitors and participants.
- ASH does not provide parking facilities and is not responsible for vehicles.
- Visitors are not permitted to wait inside the premises.
- Students should be dropped off and collected at the gate.
- Smoking is prohibited except in designated areas.
- Photography or video recording is not allowed without administrative permission.
Online Classes
1. Technical Readiness
- Students are strongly advised to have access to an alternative internet connection or an additional device in case of technical issues.
- Please make all necessary arrangements in advance to avoid disruption.
2. Camera Policy
- For effective learning and active participation, students must keep their cameras switched on throughout the class.
- In case of non-compliance, the instructor reserves the right to remove the student from the session.

6. Class Attendance & Recordings
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
- No class recordings will be provided in case of absence, under any circumstances.
7. Camera & Microphone Requirement
- Camera and microphone must remain turned on during class.
- Students who do not turn on their camera will not be allowed to attend the session.
8. Internet Connectivity
- A stable and strong internet connection is required for uninterrupted participation.
9. Mobile Phone Usage
- Mobile phones must be switched off during class hours to avoid distractions.
10. Active WhatsApp Contact
- Ensure your WhatsApp number is active on the day of class, as important updates may be shared through it.
11. Respectful Behaviour
Harassment, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion.
Students must maintain respectful conduct toward instructors and fellow classmates.
